Subway and passenger's microbiome

The present study aims to describe the dynamic of the Mexico City subway surfaces microbiome with their passengers and after surface decontamination. Microbiome from the most commonly touched surfaces were first characterized including comparing mix and exclusively female used wagons. We expected that since human interactions with the surrounding surfaces have an effect on its microbiota, a passenger would experience variations after travelling.
