资源简介:
This project investigates the long-term effects of cultivating transgenic Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) rice (Huahui 1) compared to its non-Bt counterpart (Minghui 63) on soil microbial communities. Over a period of 13 years, soil samples were collected from different depths before sowing and after harvest in both Bt and non-Bt rice fields. Using high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA genes, this study aims to understand how Bt rice affects the diversity, composition, and structure of soil microbiomes. The findings will provide insights into the ecological safety and sustainability of Bt rice cultivation. Data generated from this project will contribute to the broader understanding of the impact of genetically modified crops on soil health and microbial ecology.
