Development of Foldamers for Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy of NPY1 Tumours

This thesis develops a novel targeted radioactive therapy for breast cancer (BC) using theranostics. A theranostic agent is a compound that can carry a diagnostic or therapeutic radioisotope capable of precisely targeting tumours, allowing clinicians to see what they treat. Specifically, we developed first-in-class potent theranostic agent, which is stable in the blood stream. Our results demonstrate successful imaging of the targeted receptor in mice, potentially leading to clinical translation and improving diagnostics and treatment outcomes for BC patients.
