Polar Cod (Boreogadus saida) Stomach Contents from 5 Arctic Seas - Fine resolution taxonomy

Understanding the feeding ecology of polar cod (Boreogadus saida) during its first year of life is crucial to forecasting its response to the ongoing borealization of Arctic seas. As Arctic seas warm, the progressive displacement of C. glacialis by the smaller C. finmarchicus (and perhaps by C. marshallae in the Pacific sector of the Arctic) could have negative impacts of the feeding success of young polar cod and accelerate the replacement of the species, the dominant Arctic forage fish, by boreal species.
