The HondCTD project. (part I FjordProcess)

Hydrographic data from project HondCTD This project was funded by the Faroese Fisheries Research Fund (Fiskivinnuroyndir; www.fvg.fo), grant number: 22/22427, A full description of the HondCTD project, including data acquisition and processing, is provided in the accompanying report, available in this Zenodo repository: Hátún, H., 2026. Data Two raw data files are included, both from Teledyne Valeport SWiFT instruments: FP_SVP_vp2.zip — raw data from the SWiFT SVP (Sound Velocity Profiler) FP_CTD_vp2.zip — raw data from the SWiFT CTDplus (CTD with chlorophyll a) (The prefix FP refers to the sister project FjordProcess; vp2 denotes the output format selected in the Valeport software.) The corresponding compiled datasets, averaged to 1 m depth intervals, are: FP_SwiftSVP_ODV.txt FP_SwiftCTD_ODV.txt These files can be imported directly into Ocean Data View (ODV), which is freely available. A set of MATLAB scripts used to compile the raw data, bin-average to 1 m depth levels, and generate the ODV-compliant files is also included. These are provided as a starting point — users will need to adapt them to their own instruments and file paths.
