Mass spectra of blood plasma for control subjects and patients with Parkinson's disease.

The purpose of the conducted work is to confirm the clinical significance of the clinical blood metabogram (CBM) in relation to Parkinson’s disease (PD). To do this, the CBM was used to analyze patients in the early stages of PD. In a case-control study (n = 56), it was demonstrated that the CBM detects the metabolic signature of disease, which is consistent with the accumulated scientific data. The metabogram adds new meaning to blood analyses in patients, including those with PD, because it is an omics test that provides both a general overview of metabolic abnormalities and details the individual character of these abnormalities. The dataset contains raw mass spectra for blood plasma samples for control subjects (n = 28) and cases (n = 26).
