4 or 14-Day Food Restriction Study in Sprague Dawley Rats

This study is designed to determine effects on parameters routinely measured in toxicology studies Rats historically have been used in safety evaluation/toxicity studies. Animals will be male Sprage Dawley rats, approximately 8-10 weeks of age at initiation of treatment and weigh approximately 250-350 grams. Powdered feed will be provided either ad libitum, reduced 15%, reduced 30% or reduced 60% according to study group. All animals will be fasted overnight prior to necropsy.
