Conservation and Propagation of Pyrus L. in the Greater Caucasus

This dataset supports the findings presented in the research paper “Conservation and Propagation of Pyrus L. Species in the Greater Caucasus: Integrating Biodiversity Strategies with Green Economy Principles.” It includes data collected from both in situ (natural habitat) and ex situ (controlled) environments for five wild and cultivated Pyrus L. species in northeastern Azerbaijan. Variables include germination rates, fruit retention percentages, plant height at various growth stages, IUCN conservation status, and phenological traits such as flowering and fruiting periods. The data were gathered between 2022 and 2024 as part of a conservation program supported by the Institute of Microbiology, Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. These observations contribute to biodiversity conservation efforts and the sustainable management of genetic resources for horticultural and ecological restoration applications.
