Multitechnique in situ assessment of local and long-range stability of Metal-Organic Frameworks in Alkaline Environments

The proposal aims to explore in situ the changes at the atomic level and in the structure during the immersion in an electrolyte solution of MOFs designed for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction. The study will enable to monitor the dependence of the degradation behavior of three different MOFs with time and strength of the basic solution. Pairing time-resolved XANES-EXAFS with XRD and PDF will provide an efficient way to quantify the overall kinetics of the degradation at different levels: atomic and electronic and structural.
