China Monthly Prefecture-Level Internet Quality Data

This product contains monthly aggregated data for Chinese prefecture level internet quality indicators including latency, connectivity anomalies and distance to frontier. The monthly aggregates are based on our few-hourly (e.g. 1h, 3h, 6h) adm2 level (e.g. counties, districts) products provide an aggregated measure of subnational ADM2 areas' ICT Infrastructure, via millions of individual internet protocol (IP v4) address observations.

FIELDS INCLUDED:

- Province (ADM1)
- Prefecture (ADM2)
- Average Latency and Average Variance in Latency
- Number of days in the year with connectivity anomalies.
- Number of days in the year with latency anomalies.
- Distance to the latency frontier. Absolute difference between ADM2 level latency and minimum latency in the country.

The dataset contains one monthly file for 329 in the prefectures. For the full list of counties included in the dataset please refer to:

The initial dataset contains values for December 2023 with updates for the last months after the subscription has been purchased.

Data will be updated in the first week of each subsequent month.
