资源简介:
This dataset contains quantitative measurements of immunoreactive brain-derived neurotrophic factor (irBDNF) expression in the hippocampus of CD1 mice subjected to two experimental conditions: control and high-fat diet. BDNF levels were assessed across four hippocampal subregions (CA1, CA2, CA3, and dentate gyrus) using area-based quantification. Statistical analysis included descriptive summaries, Shapiro–Wilk tests to assess normality, and a linear model evaluating the effects of group, region, and their interaction. Post hoc pairwise comparisons were conducted to examine differences between groups within each region.
The results show a marked reduction in irBDNF expression in mice exposed to a high-fat diet compared with controls, with significant differences across most hippocampal subregions and a clear interaction between diet and region. These findings indicate that the impact of a high-fat diet on BDNF expression is not uniform across the hippocampus, suggesting region-specific vulnerability.
