North Lordenshaw 6ad (Dec 2006)

Outcrop on private farmland near Whitton Dean, south of Rothbury, Northumberland. This area of exposed outcrop is referenced 'North Lordenshaw 6ad' on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. The NADRAP team describes the motifs as: "A small cobble reused in a field wall. It is unworked except for the single centrally placed and well-defined cup mark which measures 0.04 m diameter. No visible peck marks or other decoration. It is closely associated with other artificially marked panels in the immediate vicinity and may have been removed from a clearance or burial cairn nearby…" ERA& BA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1242 The model was created from 3 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson of NADRAP Team 3 in December 2005.
