Data for "CLIL-Informed EGP Tasks: Communication Confidence and Confidence in Selected Soft Skills"

This dataset accompanies the article “CLIL-Informed EGP Tasks: Communication Confidence and Confidence in Selected Soft Skills”. It contains anonymised item-level quantitative data from a mixed-methods pilot study conducted with second-year Applied Linguistics students in a compulsory Practical English course at a public university in Poland. The dataset includes 59 complete lesson-level pre–post pairs contributed by 33 participants and 60 valid post-session questionnaires. Variables cover communication confidence, confidence in selected soft skills, pre-lesson expectations, post-session perceptions, instructional condition, lesson block, and selected participant background variables. Original anonymous classroom codes were replaced with repository-specific participant IDs. Direct identifiers, timestamps, administrative metadata, and open-ended qualitative responses are not included in the public dataset. No missing values were imputed. A data dictionary and cleaning log are provided within the accompanying Excel file.
