资源简介:
Karyotype variation is associated with evolutionary changes and can be altered by changes in the number, structure and composition of their chromosomes. Most angiosperms have uniform and symmetrical karyotypes but some lineages are characterized by the presence of asymmetric karyotypes. A karyotype with large asymmetry in chromosome size, consisting of two sets of chromosomes of contrasting size, is known as bimodal. The goal was to understand whether the chromosome structure and composition of high copy number sequence differs between both chromosome sets within a bimodal karyotype and understand whether it is influences by a large chromosome inversion with suppressed meiotic recombination.
