资源简介:
Twenty pollen samples were examined from suspected garden beds or plots associated with the Hamill House in Georgetown, Colorado. A modern surface sample was examined to provide control information concerning modern pollen rain. In addition, fifteen samples were examined from a possible garden plot in the northeast portion of the lot. This plot was slightly lower than the neighboring sodded area. A single sample was examined from the possible sodded area next to the garden. One sample was collected near the back porch and two samples were collected in a probable flower bed in front of the conservatory in the front of the house. These samples were examined to determine if there is evidence of a garden to the northeast of the house (and to the west of the museum/office). A secondary goal was to identify contents of probable flower beds near the back porch and conservatory through examining the pollen record.
