In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was employed to enhance the understanding and aid in the diagnosis of chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI). Both idealized and patient-specific geometries of a patent celiac artery (CA) and a stenosed superior mesenteric artery (SMA) were modeled. Three idealized configurations were considered: a baseline model without collateral vessels (Model 0), a model with a collateral vessel connecting the CA and SMA (Model 1), and a model with an additional collateral branch (Model 2). Additionally, nine patient-specific geometries reconstructed from computed tomography (CT) images were analyzed. Blood flow simulations were performed under resting and hyperemic conditions, the latter defined by a hyperemic factor, using Ansys Fluent. At the outlets, either mass flow rate or resistance-based boundary conditions were applied. The resulting dataset includes mass flow rates and pressures at the inlet and outlets for all simulations, including those conducted as part of the mesh sensitivity analysis (MSA).
