资源简介:
Purpose: To investigate the current situation of information literacy (IL) of postgraduate students and residents in Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, analyze the factors affecting IL of students in training, and explore the improvement strategies.. Method: From August 2022 to April 2023, 232 medical graduates from Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University participated in this survey. The authors conducted a cross-sectional study to assess IL of the trainers, particularly from two aspects, including student cultivation and clinical practice using Standardized Information Literacy assessment tool for Medical Students and Clinician Information Literacy Scale. On December 2023, 93 professional degree masters were chosen to select which IL course they had taken and to do the survey again. Results: The average score of the information knowledge dimension of the standardized medical information literacy assessment tool was 43.68%, the average score of the total score was 63.93%, and the average score of the information knowledge dimension of the information literacy of clinicians was 69%, and only the average score of these dimensions was lower than 70%. From the results of inter-group comparison, the dimensions of information knowledge, information ethics and total score of the standardized medical information literacy assessment tool for graduate students were higher than those for residents, and the dimensions of information ability of the information literacy scale for resident clinicians were higher than those for graduate students. The dimensions of information awareness and the total score of the standardized information literacy assessment tool for urban medical students and the dimensions of information literacy ethics and the total score of the scale are higher than those of rural students. The dimension of information literacy of male clinicians is higher than that of female clinicians. The results of the standardized information literacy scale for medical students can be used as a predictor of the results of the information scale for clinicians. After training in information literacy courses and clinical rotation, 93 professional masters were measured again 14 months later, and the total score of standardized information literacy assessment tools for medical students and the information literacy ability and knowledge dimension of clinicians and the total score of this scale were improved compared with the initial measurement, and the differences between the two measurements were statistically significant. Conclusions: This study shows that the score of information literacy ability in the training of students in our hospital is relatively low, and the educational departments of schools and hospitals should attach importance to the cooperation with library teachers to formulate training programs, and strive to improve the information literacy ability of students, so as to promote the application of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice and serve patients better.
