RNA-seq analysis of tomato roots colonized by the plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens strain CREA-C16.. Tomato roots interacting with a pseudomonad PGPR

Roots of Solanum lycopersicum (ecotype Corbarino) plants, grown in controlled hydroponics conditions, were inoculated with Pseudomonas fluorescens strain CREA-C16. Root samples were collected both from plants colonized by the bacterium and from control non-inoculated plants at 24, 48 and 72 hours post-inoculum. RNA was extracted from 18 samples (6x3 biological replicates) and sequenced in a single-end (read length = 101 bp) mode on an Illumina HiSeq 1500 platform.
