Identifying key factors leading to success of the world entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurial competencies are essential to business growth in particular and the economy in general. The main objective of this study is to identify key competencies leading to success of the World Entrepreneurs. This will provide benchmarks for Vietnamese executives to become Global Entrepreneurs. Using a simple random sampling technique, 30 Entrepreneurs from EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year were selected as the samples of the research. Data was gathered by analyzing content of various articles from different sources. Based on the analyses, business model profitability, innovation, and sustainability are perceived as the most significant factors leading to the World Entrepreneurs’ success. Recommendations, limitations and future research were also discussed.
