Biodiversity inventories of Lepidoptera with DNA based-tools

The use of the DNA barcoding to study the diversity of butterflies and moths around the world. The DNA barcode has showed to be useful tool to study the biodiversity, mainly in groups highly diversified. This comparison analyze, the effectiveness of the DNA barcode to identify species correctly and its usefulness to discover potentially undescribed new taxa of butterflies and moths.
