Genetic Aetiology of Paediatric High Grade Glioma (pHGG) with its possible Therapeutic Interventions.

Tumors having its origin in the central nervous system (CNS) are the most common type of solid neoplasms in childhood. Among all the cases, around 50 % of them are Gliomas1.Tumours derived from glial cells (astrocytes) present in the central nervous system (CNS) has predominantly shown its existence, which according to WHO, are responsible for most of the mortalities linked with paediatric cancers. Gliomas are basically tumours of neuroepithelial origin having good prognostic outcome in the case of LGG but have shown poor outcomes in the case of pHGG.
