资源简介:
Migraine is the second leading cause of disability worldwide. Recently, its treatment has been revolutionised by the provision of highly active therapies, Botox and Monoclonal antibodies against CGRP. This thesis explores the effect of these new treatments on non-headache symptoms vertigo, fatigue and brain fog, which carry particularly significant disability in migraine. The results of a first prospective observational study are included, which revealed promising trends towards an earlier improvement in vestibular symptoms with Botox, and demonstrated the ability of both new agents to improve fatigue. These results can be built upon by future research.
