Cybersecurity areas where professional training is most needed 2024, by career stage

For this survey conducted in 2024, respondents were asked about the required professional training of cybersecurity staff according to their career stage. Nearly six in 10 respondents named security controls as one of the areas where training was needed the most for university graduates or early career professionals. Soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, and flexibility were closely followed, with 64 percent of respondents stating the need for such training for university graduates.
