Non-encapsulated clinical isolate. Haemophilus influenzae 6P18H1

Haemophilus influenzae 6P18H1. Haemophilus influenzae 6P18H1 was isolated from an adult with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This strain has no capsule and therefore is a nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI). NTHI commonly cause otitis media (ear infections) in children and lower respiratory infections in adults with COPD. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
