The dataset used is composed of 15,362 orchard trees that tested positive for Xylella fastidiosa infection, which were surveyed in Apulia in 2015-2021 following the official protocols from EU Reg. 2020/1201 and from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA, 2015). Each record has been characterized in terms of species infected, the geographic coordinates of the infection location and the year of detection. The data have been manually digitalized from the official documents downloaded from the Xylella emergency official site of the Apulia Region (http://www.emergenzaxylella.it/portal/portale_gestione_agricoltura).
