France: battery electric vehicle sales 2010-2023

In 2023, nearly 328,500 private and utility battery electric vehicles were newly registered in France. This was an increase of some 49.5 percent year-over-year. Between 2019 and 2020, BEV new registrations had more than doubled, as a result of a greater environmental awareness brought on this the COVID-19 pandemic.
