Replica Chert drill (no catalog #), a part of the Michigan State University Museum's Archaeology Teaching Collection. This tool, created by Cavin Clark, is made of chert and was formed through flintknapping. In the past, this tool was used to drill holes in various materials, such as shell, bone, wood, and softer types of stone. Dimensions: approximately 7.2cm L x 3.4cm W x 0.7cm T, weight= 11.6g This 3D model was created by Jeff Painter using an Artec Space Spider and Artec Studio 14 Professional, in partnership with the MSU Digital Heritage Imaging and Innovation (DHI) Lab.
