HEE Soil fungi from south-central Indiana in 2018. Raw sequence reads

Soil samples were taken from Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment (HEE) plots in the spring, summer, and fall of 2018. Spring sampling took place from May 9-12, 2018, summer sampling took place from July 23-25, 2018, and the fall sampling took place from October 29-31, 2018. For each sampling regime, five dominant-canopy trees, of five different tree species, were selected within the study area. The tree species included white oak, chestnut oak, tulip poplar, American beech, and sugar maple. Randomized samples were also taken from these plots. Treatments from the plots include even-age management (clearcuts & two or three stage shelterwood), uneven-age management (patch cutting), prescribed burning, as well as control areas that received no treatments.
