Dataset for Drained agricultural peatlands as persistent carbon sources: implications for carbon and water use intensity in food production

This dataset accompanies the research article titled 'Drained agricultural peatlands as persistent carbon sources: implications for carbon and water use intensity in food production' submitted to Global Change Biology. It contains eddy covariance (net ecosystem exchange, latent and sensible heat fluxes) and meteorological data (air and soil temperatures, precipitation, net radiation, incoming shortwave radiation, water table depth, wind speed, friction velocity, wind direction, vapor pressure deficit, and relative humidity) from 8 agricultural peatlands in the UK. The dataset documentation, structure, and feature descriptions are provided in the accompanying METADATA file.
