Greenhouse gas emissions by land use and forestry in Russia 2010-2021

The land use and forestry sector in Russia absorbed roughly 485 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) equivalent of greenhouse gases (GHG) from the atmosphere in 2021. To compare, at the beginning of the period under consideration, the approximate volume of GHG emissions related to that industry was measured at negative 698 million tons of CO₂ equivalent.
