Observation data of a metastable helium lidar from November 2023 to April 2024

This data is the raw echo photon data from metastable helium lidar in Hainan, China. This LiDAR can measure the number density of metastable helium in the atmosphere from 200-1000km. The raw signal is recorded as photon counts with height resolution of 1km and time resolution of 30s (1500 laser pulses). The detector opens the electronic gate from 230us after the laser pulse, only the backscatter of 45-2700km is retained.
