The pain subsample of the PROMIS 1 Wave 2 Pain and Depression study was developed to test the utility of computer adaptivetests(CATs)withindividualsdiagnosed with back and leg pain. Patientswere recruited andtreatedwith epiduralsteroidinjections. Thisprotocol wasaimedatcomparingthepsychometricpropertiesof the PROMISitembankswithnon-PROMIS‘goldstandard’ instruments,diagnosticdata,andmedicalrecords.
