Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images of plastic particle surfaces (plastispheres) collected from river water and treated wastewater.

This dataset contains Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images of plastic particles (plastispheres) collected from treated wastewater and riverine environments in Central Poland. The imaging was performed using a Phenom ProX scanning electron microscope (Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Waltham, MA, USA). The dataset consists of 132 images categorized by particle origin and material type: Files 2.6.1 – 2.6.53 (53 images): Polyethylene (PE) particle collected from treated wastewater (secondary settling tank), Central Poland. Files 20.2.1 – 20.2.32 (32 images): Polyurethane (PU) particle collected from treated wastewater (secondary settling tank), Central Poland. Files 22.10.1 – 22.10.25 (25 images): Polyethylene (PE) particle collected from treated wastewater (secondary settling tank), Central Poland. Files 17.3.1 – 17.3.22 (22 images): Polyethylene (PE) particle collected from the Pilica River, Central Poland.
