The Price of Intelligence: dataset, code and provenance for a quality-adjusted price index for AI services
收藏资源简介:
Data, analysis artifacts, provenance ledgers and documentation supporting "The Price of Intelligence: A Quality-Adjusted Price Index for AI Services". The panel contains 21,024 observed posted-price rows across 3,208 models and 86 providers over 31 months (February 2024 to August 2026), joined to 4,605 benchmark scores across 64 benchmarks. It includes the frozen price panel and score table, the model crosswalk, a latent capability estimate with posterior uncertainty, the outputs of a pre-registered validity audit, the estimated price indices in per-token and per-task units, and the complete decision log recording every analytic ruling made during the project. Every price observation carries its source URL and archive timestamp; per-observation provenance ledgers are included with a checksum manifest, and every analysis artifact embeds the cryptographic hashes of its inputs. The study was pre-registered on OSF after the panel was frozen and before any estimation was run; three deviations from the registration are logged and disclosed. Data are released under CC BY 4.0 and code under MIT. Version 1.0.1 adds five cached inputs so the full analysis chain regenerates from the bundle alone: model developer attribution, the ECI criterion, benchmark difficulties, the item-level response matrix, and the archival coverage record. Every reported number in the paper regenerates identically from this archive with one command in the pinned environment. Version 1.0.2 adds the 34 archived page captures and their manifest that the journal recomputation (make journal) reads, and a lock file of the pinned environment. Every number in the revised paper recomputes from this archive with one command.
