Sleep deprivation (SD), disturbing numerous pregnant women, is a prevalent health issue during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester. Recent research has proved that SD may change the composition of gut microbiota. However, whether a similar microbiome alteration exists in pregnancy with SD and what the role of the alteration remains unillustrated.
