(ṢADR AL-SHARÎ’AH) 'Ubaidallah b. Mas’ûd b. Tâj al-sharî’ah Maḥbûbî’s (Ḥanafî, d. A.H. 747) [known as صدر الشريعة الأصغر] Commentary (ممزوج) on his own التنقیح, or Principles of Jurisprudence. It is entitled التوضیح فی حل غوامض التنقیح. See  Ḥ. Kh. ii. 444;  Flügel, Hdss. Wien, iii. 195; Stewart’s Catal. 148, etc. Printed at Dehli, A.H. 1267,1 and at Lakhnau, A.H. 1281.

Well written, the text of the Tanḳîḥ [تنقيح] in red. The colophon runs as follows:

ختم شد کتاب توضیح روز شنبه بوقت چاشت کاتب عبدالغفار بن شیخ محمود بتاریخ بیست سیوم ماه محرم المحرم سنه ۱۰۸۳

Occasional notes. Fol. 134 mutilated.

On fol. 289 is a list of contents, and on its back an English title. Seal of ‘Abd al-wahhâb Khân (A.H. 1168 [=1754-55 CE]).

[ed note: The colophon states it was copied by عبدالغفار بن شیخ محمود ʿAbd al-Ghaffār bin Shaykh Maḥmūd and finished on 23 Muharram 1083/21 May 1672.
