资源简介:
This thesis investigates the role of TRPV4, an ion channel protein that contributes to immune responses in the body. TRPV4 is a key player in influencing how macrophages respond to pathogens such as bacteria. This study explored how TRPV4 controls calcium signalling to enhance a key inflammatory pathway known as cGAS-STING. The findings revealed that TRPV4 promotes sustained cGAS-STING activity in cultured macrophages. Understanding and controlling this pathway has future implications for therapeutic targeting of macrophages in the context of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.
