资源简介:
The Tasmania Visitor Surveys have been conducted since 1978 by Tourism Tasmania. The primary objective of the study was to estimate the volume of visitor travel to Tasmania and to obtain information on certain aspects of tourist travel. This study is comprised of 3 data files. The first contains details from the 'contact interview records' (CIR) of individuals departing the state who did not answer either of the two surveys, the second (ETQ) is a short survey of Tasmanians departing the State plus their CIR's. The last data file (VSQ) comprises the visitors survey. Topics covered include: main purpose for travel; factor which prompted visitor to choose Tasmania; length of stay; nights spent in accommodation; main form of transport within the State; expenditure in Tasmania; number of previous visits; participation in selected activities. Background variables include age, sex, employment, income, postcode (Australian visitors) or country (overseas visitors) of home address, purpose of travel, data, and, mode and point of departure.
The three data files ('cir', 'etq' and 'vsq') are grouped together in this dataset for access requests to the ADA.
