Kleidung wird hier phänomenologisch in den Blick genommen: Sie befindet sich an der Grenze des Leibsubjekts und seinem sozialen und ökologischen Kontext, ist also Teil des Leibes und der Lebenswelt. Die Zuordnung hängt von der eigenleiblichen, aber auch der zwischenleiblichen Wahrnehmung ab. Kleidung hat verschiedene Funktionen, schützt uns u.a. vor Scham und Beschämung oder Grenzüberschreitung, ermöglicht aber auch Affiliation und Ausdruck von Identität. Sie kann salutogen oder pathogen wirken und wird darum auch im Zusammenhang mit den „Fünf Säulen der Identität“, den „Heil- und Wirkfaktoren“ und wird als „Zeuge“ in der Lebensspanne betrachtet. Im Anhang befinden sich konkrete poesietherapeutische Vorschläge. Clothing is being analysed phenomenologically here: clothing as the interface between one’s “body” and one’s social and ecological context. Thus, clothing becomes an integral part of one’s body, or else of one’s personal environment. The exact attribution depends on an individual’s perception of self. Clothing has different functions: amongst other things, it protects us from feelings of shame and from being shamed, and acts as a barrier against boundary crossing. It also allows us affiliation and expressing our identity. Clothing acts in a salutogene or else a pathogene way, which is why it is studied here in the context of the “five pillars of identity”, the “healing- and effect factors”, and is considered as “witness” of lifespans.
