This series consists of volumes recording admissions, discharges, temporary absences, absconding and punishments relating to Endeavour House at Tamworth.The entries are arranged in chronological order by week ending. Each double page is divided into sections to record different types of movements. Details recorded include names of temporary absentees with date outward and inward, names and dates of discharges, names and dates of admissions, names of absconders plus details of incident (e.g. date, time, location, officer in charge), names and dates of return of absconders, details of any punishments (e.g. name, date, age, offence, nature of punishment). From May 1976 the punishment section was discontinued for that purpose and instead used to record the names and dates of any residents going to shelter, AWOL (Absent Without Leave), hospital, court, or transferred to prison.Each page also has a section for recording statistics of daily and weekly totals for residents on leave, residents sent to or returned from hospital or shelter, discharges, and residents Absent Without Leave, plus total numbers of residents per week.The series was discontinued on 4 July 1983, when the Department of Youth and Community Services decided that the admission and discharge registers were sufficient for recording purposes.
