Geological Antarctic Field Notebook - John Sheraton #9

John Sheraton worked as a geologist with Geoscience Australia's predecessor organisation the Bureau of Mineral Resources (B.M.R.). During the 1970s and 80s he made several trips to Antarctica which resulted in these field notebooks. 
The important contribution John made to Antarctica has been recognised with the Sheraton Glacier bearing his name in recognition of the work he completed as part of the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party in 1973.
