CoEO prevents E coli K99-induced injury in mice by modulating gut microbes to inhibit TLR-2 and TLR-4 signal pathways

Compare to the single plant essential oil, the compound plant essential oil (CoEO) have a wider antimicrobial spectrum at lower doses. In this study, we evaluated the protective effects of a CoEO (oregano and cinnamon, V:V=2:8) against Enterotoxic Escherichia coli K99 (ETEC K99) infection in mice and explored the possible antibacterial mechanism.
