Ketorolac Animal Experiment

Methods Our prospective randomized study was performed at Ankara University Medicine Faculty, Laboratory of Experimental Animals and Research. Thirty Wistar Albino rats were randomized into three groups, 10 rats in each group. End-to-end colorectal anastomosis was performed on rats in all groups after rectal transection. Postoperatively, groups were administered 10 mg/kg isotonic saline, 20 mg/kg meperidine, and 1 mg/kg ketorolac intramuscularly, respectively. On the post-operative 7th day, the anastomosis line was resected, and the Nair Score, anastomotic burst pressure, and OH-Proline levels were compared.
