TEPALIT Digital Companion: Theological Taxonomy and Hymn-Pair Dossier for the Lutheranisation Thesis

Open digital companion to the monograph chapter Dogmatická komparácia luteranizmu a českých konfesií (utrakvizmus, Jednota bratská) v zrkadle liturgických a hymnologických prameňov (16.–18. storočie), produced under the APVV-24-0484 (TEPALIT) grant. The dataset comprises a four-layer theological taxonomy released as versioned CSV files: (1) 4 loci × 5 sub-loci hierarchy (LA / SK / EN), (2) attested confessional positions per tradition per locus, (3) tagged hymnic-liturgical evidence with epistemic classification, and (4) case-study hymn-pair dossiers for the Lutheranisation thesis. The companion website includes a parallel-text viewer (Synoptikon), an intertextual network graph, an interactive timeline, and a bilingual (Slovak/English) hymn-pair register. Distinguished by a three-axis epistemic transparency framework: (a) epistemic status — type of claim; (b) evidentiary strength — quality of textual evidence; (c) verification status — whether project members have personally collated primary witnesses. Pairs flagged as conjectural or unverified are visibly marked, never displayed as established fact. This work was supported by the Slovak Research and Development Agency under the Contract no.
