The study collected river samples from Shiqi River in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, for metagenomic and metatranscriptomic sequencing. All seven samples were sent for metagenomic testing, and three repeated metatranscriptomic sequencing tests were conducted on one site with light pollution and one site with heavy pollution.
