资源简介:
The strong synergistic association between Streptococcus mutans (SM) and Candida albicans (CA) with caries etiology is well known, however the search for new predictors of ECC relapse with high prognostic value are needed in dentistry. We investigated (1) the presence of Cbp+ Streptococcus mutans (SM) and Candida albicans (CA) in saliva and dental plaque; and (2) the salivary microbiome of children with different caries statuses to gain new insights into the stability or variability of the oral microbiome and to search for microbial signatures associated with health and disease.
