We hypothesized that oseltamivir treatment alters the gut microbiota and improves outcomes of post-influenza bacterial pneumonia. We performed a sequencing analysis of 16S rRNA gene to examine changes in the intestinal microbial diversity of BALB/c mice co-infected with Influenza A virus (IAV) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) with or without oseltamivir treatment.
