TABLE 2. Compilation of important characters of the genera of Corydiinae and of three further subfamilies of Corydiidae, by Princis (1960) combined to a higher category called “ Euthyrrhaphidae ”.— Explanations: + structure present; (+) present, but strongly reduced and only present in three of the species; [+] present, slightly shortened; - absent; ± present only in part of the species. Geographic distribution: N Nearctic, O Oriental, P Palaearctic; S7 subgenital plate (of female).—Superscripts: 1 Postclypeal shield on the head, l long, extended beyond the antennal sockets, or s short, not reaching the sockets. 2 Cercal tricholiths, maximal number of sensilla per anulus; in Euthyrrhapha most anuli with 1, few proximal with 2 sensilla. 3 Length of supraanal plate, vs very short, s short, m medium, l long. 4 Subgenera Nymphrytria and Leiopteroblatta with highly derived tibia armament not listed. 5 Two apical spines present. 6 Right tegmen with slight differences between covered and uncovered areas, but not further specialised.
