Seadrift Constructed Wetland Microbial Community Analysis

16s sequencing was performed on water and leaf litter layer samples taken from a constructed wetland used as tertiary wastewater treatment for a plastics manufacturing plant. The goal of the 16S sequencing and preceding sequencing analysis was to examine the relationship between microbial community structure and performance of the full-scale industrial constructed wetland. The samples processed were collected from the wetland over a 12-month period, before and after the Winter Storm Uri freeze.
