16S rRNA - PhytEO

This project, from a general perspective, aims at evaluating the potential of several aromatic plant species in terms of phytomanagement, in a context of trace element contaminated soils. The intended channel for the biomass produced on these marginal soils is the production and valorisation of essential oils with a non-food perspective.In this specific project component, the goal is to characterize the microbiota of clary sage grown on trace element contaminated soils and to investigate the structure, diversity and evolution of the bacterial communities during two successive cultivations years, as well as the potential benefits of inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.
